Info
On 23 September 2026, The Fleece in Bristol hosts a double bill with (Hed) P.E. and Cold. Formed in Huntington Beach, (Hed) P.E. forged their own G-punk blend, crossing rapcore, punk, hip-hop rhythms, metal riffs and flashes of reggae and ska under the lead of Jared Gomes. They rose alongside the late-90s nu-metal wave and built a catalogue that runs from Hed PE, Broke and Blackout to Evolution and Detox. On stage, the band strings together hard-edged grooves and melodic breaks, shifting gears between spitfire verses and chunky, pit-ready hooks without losing that California punk bite.
Cold brings the Jacksonville school of alternative rock and post-grunge. Driven by Scooter Ward’s deep, vulnerable voice, the group leans on thick guitars, measured tempos and straightforward melodies that shaped 13 Ways to Bleed on Stage and Year of the Spider, followed by A Different Kind of Pain, Superfiction and The Things We Can’t Stop. With two gold records and over a million albums sold in the US, Cold’s set moves from slow-burn tension to singalong catharsis, balancing weight and clarity in a way that has defined the band since the late 1990s.
