The Beat bring the Dance Crazed Too UK Tour to O2 Ritz Manchester on 9 October 2026. Born of Britain’s two-tone wave, the band blends ska, reggae and lean pop with clipped guitars, brass figures and springy basslines. The set revisits staples of the late‑70s/early‑80s ska revival alongside newer cuts, arranged with the unhurried swing and tight accents that shape their live sound. Offbeat riffs, dub‑tinged space and terse choruses keep the pulse steady and the grooves close to the floor.
Rhoda Dakar appears as special guest and DJ. Known for The Bodysnatchers and The Special AKA, she connects rocksteady, ska and 2 Tone, selecting tracks that trace the music’s Jamaican roots and its UK mutations. Between the decks and the mic, her style stays direct and melodic, moving from crisp, syncopated rhythms to heavier reggae without breaking the flow.
