The HU bring their hunnu rock to Belfast on 5 October 2026 at Telegraph Building. Formed in Ulaanbaatar in 2016, the Mongolian band fuses throat singing and traditional instruments with thick riffs and rhythms drawn from alternative metal. The early tracks Yuve Yuve Yu and Wolf Totem put them on the international map, leading to extensive touring across Asia, Europe and North America. Debut album The Gereg (2019) set the mix of guttural voices, collective choruses and steppe-inspired melodies; Rumble of Thunder (2022) pushed the heavier side and confirmed their place in today’s metal and hard rock circuits. The group has also collaborated with artists like Serj Tankian and Jacoby Shaddix, extending the dialogue between Mongolian heritage and Western rock. On stage, throat singing, layered chants and percussive guitars shape a set where ancestral timbres and amplified sound meet head-on.
