Korn, with Architects and Youth Code, plays Utilita Arena Birmingham on 28 October 2026.
Korn emerged from Bakersfield in the 90s with a nu metal language that folds alternative metal into hip-hop pulses and industrial textures. On stage, Jonathan Davis shifts from near-spoken fragility to torn screams, while Munky and Head drive low-slung guitars and Fieldy pushes a percussive bass throb, anchored by Ray Luzier. The catalogue runs from the early self-titled and Follow the Leader to Requiem, a line that trades in heavy grooves, tense atmospheres and direct refrains.
Brighton’s Architects forged a modern metalcore that balances weight and melody. Led by Sam Carter, the band moves between serrated riffs and expansive passages, using dynamic swings of harsh and clean vocals and structures that build patiently before release. From Hollow Crown to Holy Hell, For Those That Wish to Exist and The Classic Symptoms of a Broken Spirit, their writing keeps political, social and environmental themes at its core.
Los Angeles duo Youth Code brings a raw strain of EBM and industrial. Sara Taylor’s barked delivery rides rigid sequences and abrasive synths sculpted with Ryan George, channeling DIY roots from punk and hardcore. Their work, from the self-titled debut and Commitment to Complications to the collaboration with King Yosef, sharpens a dark, percussive drive geared for the stage.
