Info
McFly play The Piece Hall in Halifax on 23 June 2026. Formed in London by Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd, the band first made their mark with brisk pop rock shaded by pop punk and surf pop, the era of Room on the 3rd Floor, Wonderland and Motion in the Ocean. Later, Radio:ACTIVE and Above the Noise folded in more synth-pop touches. After a pause, the group resurfaced with The Lost Songs, then Young Dumb Thrills (2020) and Power to Play (2023), reconnecting with a more direct, guitar-led approach. On stage, McFly lean on their own songwriting and a full-band dynamic that lets the hooks do the work across old and new tracks.
Joining them, Twin Atlantic bring Glasgow’s alternative rock line into focus. Since 2007, Sam McTrusty and Ross McNae have steered the band from early EPs to Free (2011), Great Divide (2014) and GLA (2016), before pivoting toward sharper, club-influenced textures on Power (2020) and Transparency (2022). Meltdown (2024) pushes a rougher guitar edge. With Joe Lazarus on drums and Barry McKenna still appearing live, their set favours compact melodies and a driving pulse that slots naturally alongside McFly’s pop-rock energy.
