On 26 February 2027, The Fratellis bring their 20 Years of Costello Music tour to NX Newcastle in Newcastle upon Tyne, celebrating the Glasgow trio’s breakout debut. Formed in 2005 by Jon, Baz and Mince Fratelli, the band forged a punchy mix of indie rock, garage grit and power-pop hooks that moved from clubs to major UK festivals. This date looks back to 2006, when Costello Music set the tone with sharp guitars and chant-friendly choruses, from Chelsea Dagger to Whistle for the Choir, while tracing what came next: Here We Stand, a pause, then a return with records that nudged their sound toward soul and orchestral touches without losing that rhythmic drive. Two decades on, the trio sharpen those melodies and riffs, with Jon Fratelli’s melodic leads and a lockstep rhythm section bringing the album’s core back to life on Tyneside.
