Bloodstock Winter Gathering 2026 lands at KK's Steel Mill, Wolverhampton on Saturday 5 December 2026 with a heavy bill built around Rotting Christ. Formed in Athens by brothers Sakis and Themis Tolis, the band has moved from raw early black metal towards a ritual-led, melodic strain of extreme music. Mid-tempo riffs, choral motifs and a sombre, liturgical feel have shaped their path from Thy Mighty Contract and Non Serviam to Theogonia, AEALO and, more recently, Pro Xristou. On stage, they draw a clear line through these phases with a set that balances drive and atmosphere.
From Lviv, 1914 treat extreme metal as a wartime chronicle. Their blackened death and doom folds in documented history and narrative craft, with each track conceived like a chapter fed by archives and testimonies. Eschatology of War, The Blind Leading the Blind and Where Fear and Weapons Meet trace this approach, and the live show underlines the theme with stark imagery and a steady, oppressive tension.
Pest Control, Party Cannon, Red Rum, Witch Sorrow, Shrapnel and more round out the lineup, adding further shades of intensity to a day anchored in riffs, weight and narrative focus.
