Del Amitri bring Past to Present, four decades of their greatest music, to Caird Hall in Dundee on 5 December 2026. Formed in Glasgow in 1980 around singer-bassist and songwriter Justin Currie, the band shaped a Scottish rock sound that threads jangling guitars, direct pop hooks and a dry, bittersweet lyricism. Across Waking Hours (1989), Change Everything (1992), Twisted (1995) and Some Other Sucker’s Parade (1997), they built a catalogue that put Nothing Ever Happens, Kiss This Thing Goodbye, Always the Last to Know and Roll to Me on UK and US radios. After Can You Do Me Good? in 2002 and a long pause, they regrouped from 2013 and returned to the studio with Fatal Mistakes in 2021.

On stage, the core of Currie, Iain Harvie and Andy Alston, joined in recent years by Ash Soan and Kris Dollimore, retrace the arc: chiming early singles, a sharper mid-90s edge, and later songs with a steadier pulse. A career-spanning set built on tight guitars, melodic writing and a steady, reflective mood.
