Counting Crows

Counting Crows play O2 Guildhall, Southampton on 1 July 2026. Formed in early 90s Berkeley around singer and songwriter Adam Duritz, the band blends alternative rock, folk rock and a touch of Americana. Melodic guitars, a prominent piano and narrative lyrics have shaped their sound since the breakthrough of August and Everything After and the single Mr. Jones, followed by Recovering the Satellites, This Desert Life and Hard Candy. Their writing also crossed into film with Accidentally in Love for Shrek 2, then evolved through Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings and Somewhere Under Wonderland.

On stage, Counting Crows like to stretch their songs, letting arrangements shift and stories unfold from night to night. Setlists tend to move, with versions that tilt from quiet ballads to more electric takes, always centred on Duritz’s voice and the band’s organic interplay.
