Info

Australian singer-songwriter Stu Larsen brings his wandering folk to King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow on 9 November 2026. Centered on acoustic guitar and voice, his songs lean on narrative writing shaped by years on the road. From the self-released EP The Black Tree (2010) to the albums Vagabond (2014), Resolute (2017) and Marigold (2020), Larsen keeps the frame uncluttered: fingerpicked lines, gentle harmonies, melodies that leave space for the words.

On stage, he often performs solo, sometimes opening the dialogue with harmonica textures, a nod to his ongoing collaboration with Japanese player Natsuki Kurai. The set navigates between hushed ballads and steady folk-pop pulses, sketching stories of movement, attachment and return. Listeners of Passenger will hear a clear kinship in phrasing and dynamics — not by imitation, but through shared taste for pared-back arrangements and close-up vocals.

At King Tut’s, the focus stays on the song: near-field vocals, guitar up front, and discreet arrangements that keep the spotlight on the storytelling.
