Info
On 21 November 2026 at The Garage, Glasgow, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats lead a bill steeped in fuzz, gloom and vintage psychedelia, with The Wytches in support.
Formed in Cambridge around singer-guitarist Kevin Starrs, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats shape a heavy rock that leans into doom, psych and late-60s garage. Slow, saturated riffs meet layered vocal harmonies, with a taste for B‑movie horror moods and shadowy storytelling. From the cult beginnings of Vol. 1 and Blood Lust to the concept‑leaning Mind Control and The Night Creeper, the band has built a catalogue where riffs and narrative go hand in hand. Wasteland pushed their scorched, post-apocalyptic edge, while Nell’ Ora Blu (2024) sharpened the cinematic thread. On stage, expect hypnotic grooves, grainy tones and a steady, unhurried intensity.
The Wytches, born in 2011 and now centred on Kristian Bell, Daniel Rumsey, Mark Breed and Bhavin Thaker, work a tense, hazy blend of garage, surf rock, psych and post-punk. Abrasive guitars and nervy rhythms carry melodies that embrace a darker hue without losing directness. From Annabel Dream Reader to All Your Happy Life, then the independent turn of Three Mile Ditch, the group has refined a compact, oblique sound. Our Guest Can’t Be Named extended that line, with Replica (2024) and Talking Machine (2025) sketching new angles. Live, their set tightens the screws: jagged hooks, feedback trails and a steady undercurrent of menace.
