Margaret Chardiet is an interdisciplinary sound artist, born and based in New York City. Raised among underground musicians and artists, she was surrounded by a collective of passionate urban subculture. Instead of pursuing an academic path, she began the experimental project Pharmakon in 2006 at the age of 16. Pharmakon—as project, entity, and process—has developed in protean form and unfolds along Margaret’s personal experiences and self-taught methods. Her work is a compelled self-empowerment, a turn toward ferocity and corporeality that performatively rejects a society that only accepts what it can exploit. Chardiet uses electronic synthesis to transfer this self-empowerment physiologically and spatially into the bodies of the audience. Timbre becomes temperament. Wildness becomes social contagion or biorhythm. Margaret has also played in numerous punk bands that are part of an international DIY music scene, and she composed film scores for Transfiguration (2017) and Sound of Metal (2019).

aska is the project of Kristófer Páll, an Icelandic poet and composer based in Berlin. Coming from the Icelandic black metal scene, Kristófer found in electronic music the appropriate platform to experiment with spoken word and to fuse coldwave and industrial into bleak anxiety-pop.
