On June 4, 2026, Butch and Joseph Capriati stand behind the decks at Hafen 49 in Mannheim. A night between Tech House and Techno, built on groove, clear structures and long arcs of tension.
Butch, alias Bülent Gürler from Mainz, has moved since the mid-2000s between Tech House, Minimal and smooth Techno. His sound is built on dry percussion and rolling basslines that, depending on the moment, pick up disco, funk or acid hues. As a producer he has released on Running Back, Rekids, Diynamic, Innervisions, Defected and Cuttin’ Headz, and he tailors his tracks—like his sets—to the club: flexible in tempo, precise in transitions, always keeping an eye on the floor’s flow.
From the Neapolitan school, Joseph Capriati brings an energetic yet structured techno signature. His sets combine driving sequences, neatly constructed peaks and breathing, melodic passages. After early releases in Italy he was shaped by the Drumcode era; the albums Self Portrait (2013) and Metamorfosi (2020) broadened his range. With his label Redimension he curates his own projects and selected collaborations. On the floor that means: a solid foundation, clear synth lines and controlled tension.
Two approaches that meet and complement: Butch’s agile groove and Capriati’s straight drive. House is alive.
