Codefendants

On 21 October 2026 Codefendants are set to arrive at Metropool in Enschede. The trio formed from the meeting of rapper and songwriter Ceschi Ramos, singer Sam King (Get Dead) and Fat Mike (NOFX, Fat Wreck Chords). Together they call their hybrid “crime wave”: taut guitars, rhythms with a rap feel, half‑spoken passages and melodies that sometimes lean toward the melancholic.

Live, Codefendants trade in contrasts. Ceschi's and Sam's voices alternate, intersect or collide, while Mike’s punk background keeps the songs tight. The album This Is Crime Wave (2023) set the tone: compact tracks that leave room for narrative bridges, slower ballads, bursts of ska or alt‑rock, and songs that lean more toward rap. On stage the trio moves smoothly between those colours without polishing away the rough edges.

Expect a set that links the energy of the Californian punk scene with the DIY spirit of North American independent hip‑hop. Less gloss, more friction; hooks that stick, lyrics that push forward. Codefendants don't come to choose between genres, but to play the tension itself — in one breath, in the moment.
