Info
Kraftwerk bring their Multimedia Tour 2026 to Dublin on 17 May 2026 at Bord Gáis, Grand Canal Square, Dublin, Ireland. Formed in Düsseldorf in 1970 by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider, the group moved from early krautrock experiments to a clear, minimal electronic language built on mechanical rhythms, processed voices and melodies that circle themes of technology, transport and everyday modernity. The classic era with Hütter, Schneider, Wolfgang Flür and Karl Bartos delivered Radio-Activity, Trans-Europe Express, The Man-Machine, Computer World and Electric Café, a run that set the template for their “robot pop” and much of synth music after.
On stage today under Hütter’s direction, Kraftwerk revisit and recombine this catalogue with an image-led setup and tight visual synchronisation. Tracks like Autobahn or Tour de France are re-read with exact timing and clean design, where sound and projection move as one. The show focuses on the pulse and geometry of their music rather than nostalgia, drawing a straight line from their 1970s lab to a present tense built on loops, circuits and crisp sequences.
