Info
Jack Van Cleaf and Clover County bring a double bill to The Grand Social in Dublin on 9 May 2026, rooted in contemporary folk and Americana.
Based in Nashville after growing up in San Diego, Jack Van Cleaf writes at the crossroads of folk, Americana and melodic indie rock, where acoustic guitars meet a more electric edge. A Belmont University alum, he widened his reach in 2023 with the introspective Rattlesnake, which traveled widely online and led Noah Kahan to invite him on the Stick Season tour; Zach Bryan covered the song before recording a version with him. On stage, he moves between fingerpicked intimacy and fuller arrangements, with plainspoken lyrics about coming of age, identity and movement.
Clover County comes from the same orbit with a self-described bootgaze touch: direct melodies, country‑tinged guitars and detailed storytelling drawn from teenage memories, small love stories and everyday objects. Since a first single in 2023, she has been building on support slots for Lord Huron, Shakey Graves and Medium Build, and preparing a debut album, Finer Things, announced for September 2025 with producer Carrie K in partnership with Thirty Tigers. Her songs lean into youth, femininity, vulnerability and friendship, keeping the focus on close details rather than big drama.
