Alison Moyet

Alison Moyet plays the 3Olympia Theatre in Dublin on 2 November 2026. First known for the synth-pop duo Yazoo with Vince Clarke, she went on to carve a solo path that folds pop, soul and blues into a sound balancing electronic textures and more classic instrumentation. On stage, her deep contralto — dark-toned and steady — holds ballads and uptempo tracks with the same clarity, shifting smoothly between brooding atmospheres and direct, melodic hooks.

Her repertoire spans early solo titles from Alf and Raindancing, the more stripped, song-led writing of Hoodoo and Essex, and the sleek, minimal electronics of The Minutes and Other, created with producer Guy Sigsworth. She has also explored orchestral covers and songwriter formats, and that breadth feeds live arrangements that can pivot from synth pulse to intimate, pared-back moments without losing focus. A set built around craft and presence, carried by a voice that gives weight to every line.
