Satsang

Satsang is the musical project of singer-songwriter Drew McManus, rooted in the landscapes of Montana and a blend of folk, roots rock, soul, with shades of reggae and hip-hop. His writing turns toward introspection, everyday spirituality and the bond with nature, with songs that carry a sense of personal and collective responsibility. On stage, McManus leads a tight-knit group that shifts easily from electric pulse to stripped-back acoustics, mixing supple grooves, fingerpicked patterns and a phrasing close to spoken word.

The set draws from across the catalogue: the early intimacy of The Story of You, the broader band sound of Pyramid(s), the choral hooks and mid-tempo sway of Kulture and All. Right. Now., and the more inward tone of Flowers From The Fray, written in the quiet of the Montana mountains. Harmonies, steady rhythms and unvarnished melodies keep the focus on the song, with arrangements that breathe and leave space for the words.
