The Magic Numbers

London’s The Magic Numbers bring their harmony-led indie rock to Debaser Strand in Stockholm on 9 October 2026. Formed in Hanwell in 2002 by two sets of siblings — Romeo and Michele Stodart with Angela and Sean Gannon — the band has shaped a sound built on close vocal interplay, supple guitars and a pop-folk undercurrent anchored by a steady rock pulse. Their self-titled debut in 2005 set the framework, followed by Those the Brokes, then The Runaway, Alias and Outsiders, each refining concise songwriting and unadorned arrangements made for the stage. Early tours with Travis, Ed Harcourt and Snow Patrol helped sharpen their live chops, while acoustic runs in the UK and Ireland revealed a more stripped-back side of the catalogue. Collaborations with The Chemical Brothers and Jane Birkin show their range, but the core remains the group dynamic: traded lead vocals, layered harmonies and an emphasis on songcraft. On stage, they lean into dynamic shifts, moving from hushed passages to ringing choruses while keeping the melody front and center.
