Zak Abel

Zak Abel brings his pop-soul blend to Debaser Nova in Stockholm on April 30, 2026. London-born with Moroccan and British roots, the singer-songwriter broke through in the mid-2010s, first online, then alongside the UK electronic scene. A 2014 collaborative EP with producer Joker drew him into grime and bass circles, followed by One Hand on the Future (2015), where he sharpened a mix of soul, pop and R&B. His first album, Only When We’re Naked (2017), pushed a more personal writing style and set the tone for a clear, contemporary sound.

Parallel to his solo work, Abel’s features with Gorgon City and Kygo carried his voice onto European festival and club stages. On stage, he centers everything on expressive vocals, tight harmonies and clean arrangements, moving through mid to uptempo grooves with a pop clarity. The set leans into modern soul shades and electronic touches, with songs from Love Over Fear (2023) alongside earlier tracks. A show focused on the essentials: melody, rhythm and a voice that leads the room without forcing it.
