New Model Army

New Model Army arrive in Wrocław on 8 July 2026 at Centrum Koncertowe A2. Formed in Bradford in the early 80s, the band grew out of post-punk into a lean, melodic rock that folds in folk textures and atmospheric shades. Around singer-guitarist Justin Sullivan, the group functions as a tight unit with shifting line-ups, driving songs that balance percussive pulse with slower, open-ended passages. Early records like Vengeance and The Ghost of Cain set a template of sharp guitars and lyrics grounded in politics, social ties and introspection. Thunder and Consolation introduced violin and a broader palette; The Love of Hopeless Causes and Strange Brotherhood followed that path with a focus on melody and dynamics. More recently, Between Dog and Wolf, Winter, From Here and Unbroken extend a narrative approach built on tribal rhythms and shadowy tones. Live, the set leans on tension and release, Sullivan’s voice front and center, with arrangements that alternate momentum and stillness, linking new material and long-running staples through the same rhythmic backbone.
