Info
The White Buffalo is Jake Smith’s long-running Americana project. Born in Oregon and raised in Southern California, he writes in a plainspoken register where folk, country noir and unvarnished rock cross paths. On stage, his baritone carries stories of roads traveled, frayed loyalties and reckonings; arrangements stay lean, letting guitar lines, drum pulses and blues-tinged swells lead the drama. At Rum Runners in London, Canada, on September 25, 2026, he brings that narrative drive to the stage.
The set reaches across Once Upon a Time in the West, Shadows, Greys & Evil Ways, Love and the Death of Damnation, Darkest Darks, Lightest Lights, On the Widow’s Walk and Year of the Dark Horse, with room for fresh turns. Solo or with a compact band, the show shifts from hushed ballads to rangier rockers, anchored by storytelling, a low, weathered voice and the steady pull of rhythm.
