Casino Barrière Toulouse presents: Roland Magdane — A Farewell Letter.

I have written dozens of letters to my mother, but I will write only one to my audience. A letter for all those who have faithfully followed me for 50 years. I know I have been part of your family for half a century and that, throughout all those years, I have been like a good friend you are glad to see again to laugh and enjoy a pleasant evening.

I myself have shared moments of uncontrollable laughter with you, but now I am going to rest. Your presence by my side throughout my career has allowed me to go through life with the joy and wonder of a child. I have performed in every city in France, as well as in Belgium, Switzerland, Quebec, and the United States. It has been a privilege to spend my life performing. I know I owe this happiness to you, and I thank you very sincerely, but I will make way for the younger generation.
