Portugal. The Man

Portugal. The Man are coming to TonHalle Munich on November 19, 2026. The band led by John Gourley and Zach Carothers has developed from its experimental indie beginnings in Alaska into a sound that casually blends psychedelia, pop and rock. At the latest since Woodstock (2017) and the single 'Feel It Still' — Grammys, constant radio presence, billions of streams — their songs have reached everywhere, without completely shedding their quirkier edges. Live, that means: dense grooves, shifting dynamics, multi-part vocal hooks and a set that ties hits to older favorites and newer material.

After the early lo-fi records, Portugal. The Man sharpened their melodies, opened the door to electronics and pushed their pop side with Evil Friends. With Chris Black Changed My Life they most recently showed how to combine accessible forms with political undertones. On stage, driving basslines meet shimmering guitars and precise percussion; the band layers motifs, dissolves them again and maintains tension across long arcs.

Expect an evening that won’t shy away from 'Feel It Still' but also makes room for deeper tracks — a tour stop that consolidates the different phases of their catalog in one go, direct and without detours.
