On May 9, 2026 at Rhythm in Toronto, Marshall Jefferson takes the controls for a session rooted in the origins of Chicago house. A key architect of the sound, he set its blueprint with tracks like Move Your Body, Open Our Eyes and 7 Ways to Jack, and helped define the TRAX Records era. His scope has always reached wide: from early acid explorations with DJ Pierre on Acid Trax to deeper, more emotive cuts, he keeps the piano drive and raw drum programming at the core while letting the mood shift and evolve. Behind the decks, Jefferson links cornerstone classics with newer material, tracing a clear line from the warehouse to today’s floor without losing the feel of the groove.
