Tété

Tété returns to the stage with his distinctive blend of folk and acoustic groove. Born in Dakar and raised in France, he shaped his guitar style from the age of 16—mixing picking, slap and percussive chords—fed by Dylan, Hendrix, Marley, Gainsbourg, Queen and that Keziah Jones revelation that pushed him from café-concerts to large venues. From his early work with L’air de rien to the songs that followed, his repertoire traces a path where the guitar leads the story, between intimate confessions and compelling rhythms.

At the Rockstore, you’ll find the songs that cemented his place on the French scene: À la faveur de l’automne, Dodeline, Le meilleur des mondes, as well as more recent pieces, rearranged with restraint. On stage, Tété performs with an intimate focus on the lyrics, with a clear voice and precise phrasing, alternating bright arpeggios and drier, more percussive string hits, for songs that effortlessly shift from the personal to the communal.
