Médine « Enfants du destin »

On October 1, 2026, at the Bourse du Travail in Lyon, Médine returns to the stage with Enfants du destin, the series of narratives that runs through his work since the beginning of his career. He brings together stories of childhoods battered by History — colonization, war, slavery, oppression — to put faces back on events that are often recounted from a distance. David, Souhan, Kunta Kinte, Nour and Yasser become first names that carry memory, where the violences of yesterday converse with those of today.

In this intimate, acoustic stage format, Médine unfolds these stories like a storyteller, supported by Guillaume Zolnierowsky’s piano and guitar and Shéhérazade’s voice and cello. Onstage, Karinale Lo van Zaouiche contributes in brief interventions, creates openings and rekindles the speech. The dialogued interludes bring doubt, questions and counterpoint. Between concert and theatre, Enfants du destin traces a hybrid space where narration takes the time to explore what remains, what is transmitted and what the present does to our memories.
