Ben Mazué

Ben Mazué returns to the stage in a format that suits him well: a narrated concert where songs intertwine with spoken passages, asides and stories told in the present. Between French chanson and pop, his phrasing, close to spoken-word, creates an immediate intimacy, inherited from the slam scenes he frequented before his first records. From his self-titled album to À 33 ans and La femme idéale, through to Paradis, he unfolds a very personal thread of love, family, turning points and the small details that shape everyday life. The arrangements, melodic and pared-back, leave room for the words and for a narrative that advances without unnecessary effects. He also shows a taste for collaboration and for writing for others, notably alongside Grand Corps Malade and Gaël Faye— influences you can sense at times on stage.
