Info
On 1 September 2026 at the Élysée Montmartre in Paris, Current Joys takes the stage. Behind that name is Nick Rattigan, a singer‑songwriter from Nevada and one half of the duo Surf Curse, who pursues his solo project between lo‑fi bedroom pop, indie rock and experimental flashes. Born in the urgency of his earliest home recordings (Wild Heart, Me Oh My Mirror), his diaristic songwriting relies on simple melodies, bare guitars and restrained tempos. With A Different Age the palette opened toward a more constructed pop, threaded with new wave echoes and post‑punk tension, a direction extended by Voyager and its more cinematic side. Live, Current Joys plays on intimacy and nerve: stripped arrangements or an expanded lineup, upfront vocals, gripping riffs, slow builds followed by abrupt breaks. The set is designed to hold in the same room the intimacy of a bedroom and the momentum of a band, without losing the rough patina that is Rattigan’s signature.
