Grems
A pioneer of French alternative rap, Grems is now entering his third decade of creative work. Born from the 2000s boom bap scene and a member of the groups Hustla and Rouge à Lèvres (with Disiz), he has released 11 solo albums, written more than 400 tracks and performed 1,000 concerts worldwide.
Personal flow, invented language, uncompromising aesthetic. He has collaborated with international artists such as Foreign Beggars, Wildchild and Big Red, as well as producers like Opolopo, Machinedrum and Simbad, and has explored genres including grime, broken beat and deep house.
He fused rap and house in France as early as 2003 with the deepkho style. Grems is also a visual artist. His work connects rap, club music and contemporary art.
In 2025, after an anniversary tour marking his 25-year career, he took a new direction with a 7-track jazz-rap EP, La saison des bombes, in which flow becomes the primary rhythmic element.
On stage, he will form an experimental trio with Rose Kid (piano, vocals) and Nxquantize (loop station, percussion), navigating rhythmic slam, free jazz and raw poetry.
