Cavetown brings the Running With Scissors Tour to History in Toronto on September 23, 2026. Under the name Cavetown, Robin Skinner has shaped a gentle blend of bedroom pop, slow-blooming folk and understated indie rock since the mid-2010s, first sharing home recordings across YouTube and Bandcamp. From the early self-titled album to Lemon Boy, Sleepyhead and Worm Food, the songs trace personal stories about identity, mental health and close relationships, carried by voice, guitar and often a ukulele. On stage, Cavetown moves between quiet, lo-fi textures and fuller band arrangements, letting delicate melodies grow into something more immediate. Expect a set that weaves older favorites with newer material, keeping the DIY spirit while opening up the sound.
Opening the night, chloe moriondo steps in from Detroit’s online-born scene. Starting with intimate, acoustic bedroom pop on Rabbit Hearted., they’ve since pushed toward a denser alt-pop edge, channeling bright hooks, guitar bite and flashes of pop‑punk on Blood Bunny and SUCKERPUNCH. Their live set flips between confessional softness and punchier bursts, a good match for Cavetown’s mix of closeness and lift.
