Killswitch Engage

Killswitch Engage bring their metalcore roots to Thunder Bay Community Auditorium in Thunder Bay, Canada, on August 11, 2026. Formed in 1999 out of the Massachusetts hardcore scene, the band shaped a sound that fuses thrash-leaning tempos, hardcore grit and melodic guitar work, anchored by the push-pull between harsh screams and clean, sung passages. On stage, the tandem of Adam Dutkiewicz and Joel Stroetzel layers harmonies over dense riffs, Mike D’Antonio locks the low end, and Justin Foley drives a precise pulse, while Jesse Leach moves from gravel to melody at the mic.

The set leans across eras, from early touchstones like Alive or Just Breathing through The End of Heartache and As Daylight Dies to more recent cuts from Disarm the Descent, Incarnate and Atonement. Tight breakdowns, sharp guitar motifs and open choruses balance heavier runs, the traits that have defined the group since its beginnings.
