Info
John Fogerty brings The Legacy Tour to Great Canadian Toronto in Toronto on August 22, 2026. Born in Berkeley in 1945, he first made his mark with Doug Clifford, Stu Cook and his brother Tom, a group that moved from the Blue Velvets to the Golliwogs before becoming Creedence Clearwater Revival at the end of the 1960s. Between 1968 and 1972, Fogerty wrote and sang most of CCR’s songs, blending rock, roots, country and blues with a raw swamp touch: concise forms, clean-cut guitars, a strong rhythm and blues pulse.
After CCR, he stepped out solo with The Blue Ridge Rangers (1973) and John Fogerty (1975), then re-emerged in the mid-80s with Centerfield. The albums followed—Blue Moon Swamp, Deja Vu All Over Again, Revival, The Blue Ridge Rangers Rides Again and Wrote a Song for Everyone—each extending that mix of Americana and grit. On stage, Fogerty keeps it direct and unfussy, letting his solo tracks meet CCR titles in arrangements built for live clarity. The Legacy Tour revisits this catalogue in a tight, guitar-forward format that puts songs and groove at the center.
