Magic System

Formed in the late 1990s in the Anoumabo neighborhood of Abidjan, Magic System brings together A’Salfo, Manadja, Goudé and Tino around a zouglou rooted in collective singing, everyday stories and rhythms made for dancing. Propelled by Premier Gaou, the quartet subsequently produced a string of catchy refrains—from Bouger Bouger to Magic in the Air—broadening their sound into an African pop nourished by afro-dance and urban music, while never abandoning the zouglou core that defines their identity.

On March 6, 2027, Magic System celebrates their 30th anniversary at Le Phare – Grand Chambéry in Chambéry with an anniversary tour designed to bring together all generations. The program offers a journey through their repertoire, from their first steps to albums such as Un Gaou à Paris, Touté Kalé and Africainement vôtre, featuring those unifying choruses and the driving pulse that invite audience response. On stage, the group opts for sheer effectiveness: echoing vocals, guitars, percussion and direct melodies that make you want to move, all while preserving the zouglou throughline that has accompanied them since their beginnings.
