On November 1, 2026 at Le Molotov in Marseille, Eyehategod deploy the sludge forged in New Orleans: slow doom, abrasive hardcore and dissonant blues saturated with feedback, led by Mike IX Williams’s raspy voice. Since In the Name of Suffering and Take as Needed for Pain, the band has advanced in layers, honing a balance between the crushing weight of heavy tempos and drier, sharper outbursts, pummelled riffs and an unstable atmosphere. Dopesick and Confederacy of Ruined Lives established the method, before a return with Eyehategod and A History of Nomadic Behavior that prolongs the group’s raw tension on record as well as on stage. The set moves between hypnotic repetitions, Jimmy Bower’s grainy guitars and a rhythm section that digs into the low end, with lyrics threaded by addiction, paranoia and a view of the American South. Mezcal Wizard completes the bill.
