Son Mieux

On 22 January 2027 Son Mieux will perform at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. The Hague-based collective around singer-songwriter Camiel Meiresonne began as an indie-pop project and has grown into a band with multiple voices and a full line-up. Their sound moves between orchestral and alternative pop: guitars, strings, keys and a rhythm section that carries the groove, complemented by choral vocals that lift the choruses. Many songs build steadily toward moments that invite everyone to sing along.

Since the first EPs, Son Mieux has shifted toward a danceable, melody-driven approach, with echoes of disco, folk and contemporary pop, without losing their indie roots. Records like Faire de Son Mieux (2019) and The Mustard Seed (2021) show a band that writes in melodies and thinks as an ensemble. Live, it’s about group dynamics: rich arrangements, multi-part vocals and direct contact with the audience. The lyrics remain close, dealing with everyday and personal themes, which gives the lighter, rhythmic sound a human dimension. At the Ziggo Dome Son Mieux will continue that line with a set that focuses on interplay, rhythm and build.
