Tété

Tété returns in an intimate format, guitar slung over his shoulder, for a concert at the Cabaret Vauban in Brest on 23 October 2026. Born in Dakar and raised in Haute-Marne, the singer-songwriter has shaped a folk style with clean lines, where the acoustic guitar leads the way. Steeped in the Beatles, Miles Davis and Tom Waits, he early on found his voice in melodic songwriting and spare arrangements that leave room for the lyrics and the rhythm.

From L’air de rien to À la faveur de l’automne, via Le Sacre des Lemmings and Nu là-bas, his songs have marked the landscape of francophone pop-folk with bluesy contours. On stage, Tété cultivates closeness: precise fingerpicking, a measured voice, an understated groove, and choruses made to be sung along. The set draws on a wide repertoire, from ballads to more urgent numbers, performed solo or with minimal accompaniment that lets the songs breathe. It’s an opportunity to dive back into his classics and rediscover songwriting that finds its strength in restraint and nuance.
