On Friday, April 17, Carousel Collective and Rhythm present Tokyo-born, London-based DJ Junki Inoue at Rhythm for a night rooted in 90s Japanese house, rugged breaks, golden-era tech-house, and sub-rattling electro.
As a resident of Toi.Toi and Cartulis, Junki has been a consistent presence in London's underground. His sets move between moods and genres, unfolding as deep, hypnotic journeys shaped by an intuitive feel for storytelling.
In 2021, he founded SAISEI, a record label dedicated to reissuing overlooked works of Japanese electronic music, with a focus on releases that were never pressed to vinyl. Through thoughtful curation and distinctive artwork, the label has gained recognition from DJs, collectors, and record shops worldwide.
Carousel’s resident Mary will be setting the tone for the evening with an extended warm-up, digging deep into her ever-growing collection.
