On 11 April 2026 SPADES x YEREYERE lands at BRET, Orlyplein 76 in Amsterdam. In the DJ booth are Dam Swindle and Papa Nugs, two approaches to the dance floor that keep each other sharp and get the crowd moving.
Dam Swindle is the Amsterdam DJ and producer duo formerly known as Detroit Swindle. Their signature: house with a warm, percussive drive, rich in soul and disco influences and with a nod to Chicago and Detroit. In their sets they emphasize groove and timing, steadily build tension, and play with switches between deep, jackin’ and broken accents. Their performances are carefully constructed journeys in which keys, drums and basslines propel each other forward.
Papa Nugs comes from the British club scene of the early 2020s and works from a direct, rapid synthesis of breakbeat, acid, UK garage, techno and rave references. Think high tempos, fiery basslines and fragmented vocal snippets that he stitches together with tight transitions. His releases—among them on Sucker Punch Recordings—and his club sets reveal a style that quickly shifts register and effortlessly toggles between ’90s/’00s UK influences and the present.
Together they deliver a trajectory that can move from deep house to raw rave energy, precisely tailored to BRET.
