Black Coffee

Black Coffee lands in Ibiza at UNVRS on 27 May 2026. A South African pioneer of Afropolitan house, he blends traditional percussion and deep, slow-burning grooves with a clean, metropolitan techno edge. Over more than two decades he has shaped dancefloors worldwide, and since 2017 his Ibiza residencies have helped anchor that sound on the island.

On stage, Black Coffee favours patient builds, polyrhythms and a warm low-end, stitching together soulful textures, sparse vocals and percussive swing. The flow moves naturally from deep house to Afro-house and stripped-back tech, built for long, immersive sessions where tension and release do the talking.

His studio path runs from early albums on Soulistic Music to Subconsciously in 2021, a Grammy-winning project that broadened his scope with collaborations alongside Alicia Keys, Drake, Pharrell Williams, Diplo, Usher and David Guetta. At UNVRS, he brings that approach back to a booth he knows well, navigating the room with precision and groove.
