Shkoon looks back on the traces they have left behind. On 8 May 2026 at 17h00 at Club Bahnhof Ehrenfeld in Cologne, the German-Syrian duo presents Traces, an album and a tour inviting listeners to walk through the imprints we leave behind and to come together.

To remember. To reflect. To dance. To breathe.

Born from two worlds, Syria and Germany, they have woven their perspectives into a personal sound that blends Arabic folklore, original lyrics, and Western electronic influences. Formed in Hamburg in 2015 by Ameen from Syria and Thorben from Germany, the project brings together Arabic folk, traditional melodies, and electronic beats.

Traces is not an elegy. It is a reflection on what remains when everything else fades: the footsteps of those before us, the stillness after the storm, the echoes of transformation. Inspired by ideals of freedom, belonging, and change, the music moves between nostalgia and forward motion. Each track invites connection, even when words fall short.

After Rima (2019), Masrahiya, and Greater Than One, Traces opens a new chapter shaped by memory and resilience.
