Info
Telenova is set to appear at Supersonic in Paris’ 12th arrondissement on 22 May 2026. Formed in Melbourne, the trio brings together Filipino-Australian singer and filmmaker Angeline Armstrong with multi-instrumentalists Edward Quinn and Joshua Moriarty. Their dreamy alt-pop, with cinematic contours, blends trip-hop, electronica and indie songwriting, featuring dark textures, supple rhythms and a voice that guides the melodies without overstating them.
First noticed in 2021 with the EP Tranquilize and the track “Bones,” they followed with “Stained Glass Love” before moving to the full-length album Time Is a Flower in 2024. On stage, Telenova weaves nocturnal, precise atmospheres—between mellow basslines, shimmering guitars and downtempo beats—while retaining an accessible pop sensibility.
If your playlists include Florence & The Machine, Wet Leg or Water From Your Eyes, you’ll find familiar echoes here: pop momentum on one side, indie edges and electronic tension on the other. A regular presence at Australian festivals and on tours across Europe and the UK, and having opened for girl in red, St. Vincent and Ruel, the band is honing a sound that is at once immediate and detailed. At Supersonic, Telenova will present their new songs and revisit their EPs in a club setting that lets the arrangements breathe.
