Celtic Legends

Celtic Legends celebrates its 25th anniversary with a new anniversary show on 24 March 2027 at Le Scarabée in Riorges. The Irish company brings together dancers, musicians and singers for a journey to the heart of Celtic traditions, mixing reels, jigs and reworked ballads. Jacintha Sharpe’s choreography alternates group tableaux and solos, plays on the precision of the tap work and the constant dialogue with live music, creating a rhythmic, fluid stagecraft.

On stage, five musicians led by Sean McCarthy provide the show’s sonic foundation. Uilleann pipes, penny whistle, fiddle, bodhrán and guitar weave an acoustic sound that carries the dance, without superfluous effects. Everything is played live, with the pulse that forms Celtic Legends’ DNA and highlights the contrasts between soaring instrumental passages and more melodic sections.

This anniversary program distils twenty-five years of performance and touring: a balance of collective energy, the virtuosity of the steps and a close rapport with the audience. An immersion in Irish dance and Celtic music, brought to life by a company that knows every nuance.
