Celtic Legends

For its 25th anniversary, Celtic Legends returns with a new show focused on what has defined it from the start: the meeting of Irish dance and live music. On 13 February 2027 at the Arkea Arena in Floirac, the company lines up precisely measured percussive footwork, ensemble choreography and solos, in constant dialogue with the musicians.

Conceived by choreographer Jacintha Sharpe, the dance sequences draw on a repertoire of reels, jigs and ballads. Five instrumentalists set the pace under the musical direction of Sean McCarthy, their tones provided by the uilleann pipes, penny whistle, fiddle, bodhrán and guitar. The sound remains acoustic—tense when required, more melodic in its quieter breaths—to carry the steps and underline the contrasts.

After tours across the globe and millions of spectators, Celtic Legends returns to the stage with a tightened format and an entirely live performance. This anniversary tour showcases the collective energy as much as individual virtuosity, keeping the spirit of Irish tradition at the heart of the show.
