Celtic Legends - 25th anniversary Tour

Celtic Legends celebrates its 25th anniversary with a new show that puts Irish dance back at the center. On 4 February 2027 at the Zénith Amiens Métropole in Amiens, the company brings together dancers, musicians and singers for an entirely live performance where percussive footwork, group lines and solos answer one another in a tight tempo. Choreographies by Jacintha Sharpe trace a path between reels and jigs, alternating finely shaped percussive strikes and more melodic interludes.

On the musical side, Sean McCarthy leads five instrumentalists who play without backing tracks: uilleann pipes, penny whistle, fiddle, bodhrán and guitar weave a clear acoustic sound designed for the stage. At the heart of the show is the ongoing dialogue between the percussion of the steps and the drive of the set, which builds and releases tension across the scenes. The project's signature is present: a precise, rhythmic collective writing that leaves space for the dancers’ personalities and the soloists’ soaring passages. It’s an anniversary stop conceived for the theatre, to be experienced up close in the energy of live performance.
