Karpatt

Karpatt takes up residence at A Thou Bout d’Chant in Lyon on 28 May 2026. Formed around Frédéric Rollat, the trio today brings together Gaétan Lerat on guitar and Hervé Jegousso on double bass. Their playground is acoustic French chanson that blends swing, gypsy jazz, Latin accents and world music, supported by flexible arrangements and a taste for collective interplay.

On stage, the group draws from a repertoire shaped over the years: from the early records À l’ombre du ficus, Dans le caillou and Dans d’beaux draps, to the more electric turn of Montreuil and the live album À droite à gauche, and on to the tighter format of Sur le quai. More recently, Valparaiso and En escale have added new colours without losing the trio’s clear direction.

Between taut strings, travelling rhythms and precise songwriting, Karpatt stays the course with a style that moves between swing and popular refrains, with a stage intimacy that is part of its DNA. An evening to explore a broad repertoire, from foundational tracks to more recent pieces.
