Les Tambours du Bronx

On March 13, 2027, at the Zénith de Pau, Les Tambours du Bronx make their array of standing metal drums vibrate. The collective fields some fifteen percussionists to create a rhythmic mass built on repetitive patterns, massive unisons and millimeter-precise staggerings. At the heart of the set, tribal pulsations and rock energy mingle with structures close to techno, driven by a precise attention to group dynamics.

The sound thickens over the course of the concert with the addition of samplers, keyboards, bass, guitars and occasional vocals, opening natural bridges to metal and electronic music without losing the clarity of a frontal groove. The staging matters as much as the attack of the sticks: a front line, a collective choreography of strikes, and a play of space and nuance that transform the rhythm into performance.
