Info
On June 17, 2026, at La Scala in Paris, Lou Trotignon presents Mérou, a solo in which they recount their transition journey with humor and precision. Assigned female at birth, Lou refuses the identity imposed on them and unfolds the stages of this passage: starting testosterone, using striptease as a field of exploration, and discovering the queer world. On stage, they blend intimate storytelling and stand-up, raising questions many people ask: must we remain who we were told to be? Can one reinvent their body, their relationship to love, and tell one’s story differently?
Before entering the auditorium, an immersive exhibition created with the Centre d’archives LGBTQI Paris circulates archives, voices, images, and traces of struggles, like a living genealogy that accompanies the performance. The evening also opens with performances by cabaret artists from Maison Furieuse, followed by Mérou. Between collective memory and personal narrative, Lou Trotignon offers a hybrid form where the intimate meets the archive and the stage.
