Girls in Hawaïfi

Girls in Hawaïi return in 2026 with Eldorado, a new album announced for 25 September, and a European tour that will stop at La Sirène in La Rochelle on 11 December 2026. Formed in the early 2000s, the Belgian band led by the voices and guitars of Antoine Wielemans and Lionel Vancauwenberghe continues its English-language indie rock streak: bright guitars, understated keyboards, supple rhythms, and songwriting that blends gentle tension with melancholy. Eldorado is their first studio album since Nocturne (2017) and reconnects with a more direct alternative DNA.

On stage, Girls in Hawaïi alternate new songs with standout tracks from a catalogue built over the years — From Here to There (2003), Plan Your Escape (2008), Everest (2013), Nocturne (2017) — occasionally introducing airier, electronic textures drawn from recent explorations. After celebrating the twentieth anniversary of their first album in 2023, the band opens a new chapter and puts its singular sound back at the heart of their live show. In La Rochelle, it will be an opportunity to take measure of what Eldorado has to say, between new material and familiar touchstones.
