On October 28, 2026, Cola takes over Petit Bain. Formed in Montreal, the trio brings together Tim Darcy (vocals, guitar) and Ben Stidworthy (formerly of Ought) with drummer Evan Cartwright (U.S. Girls, The Weather Station). Their playground: a tight post‑punk/indie rock—angular guitars, a very mobile bass and vocals held on the edge of talk‑singing—where the pieces move forward through motifs and off‑kilter shifts rather than big builds.

On stage, Cola cultivates a precise minimalism, tense but clear. With Cost of Living Adjustment (C.O.L.A.), their third album, the band broadens the frame: denser tracks, textures that rub against one another, live drums blended with sampled loops, as on “Hedgesitting.” The songs probe everyday life under pressure, the tug of nostalgia and the role of chance in our trajectories.

After Deep in View (2022) and The Gloss (2023), this new chapter retains a focus on concise structures and sonic detail while opening up more space. At Petit Bain, Cola pieces these elements together with a nervous dynamic and a strong sense of dimensionality that lets each motif find its place.
